Quick Guide

 

Install NFS PU. (Custom type and check all components)

Open IPLounge, register, login (if you use Windows VISTA/7 close IPLounge and run IPLounge as administrator).

Open Windows Firewall > Exceptions > Add Program > Porsche.exe (from your NFS PU folder).
Add Program > iploungev4 (from Program Files\iploungev4).

Right click in the racing box (just under Race Time) and select Scan.
a. If you get 452 errors > Options > Paths > PU > Browse > navigate to Porsche.exe > Save.
b. If you get 16 or 14 errors > Options > last Misc > Pu EA Car Install.
c. If you get 2 or 1 errors (Unknown version and/or missing PORSCHE.ICD) download and install the Official EA 3.5 NOCD Patch. (Download)
(if you didn't install NFS PU from CD and if you have a packed game release, run SetupReg from your NFS PU folder before running the 3.5 NOCD patch)
d. If you use Windows XP, download and install the NFS PU XP Fix. (Download
)

Scan again and if your scan looks like below you are ready to race.
PU CRC check Started
Porsche.exe 3.5 Common1 NOCD Version
PU CRC check Finished OK

Joining a race:
Click on a pit from the racing box, right click on it and select Join Race. NFS PU will start automatically.
Select your profile > multiplayer > peer to peer - IP > type iplounge as ip address > connect...

Hosting a race:
Right click in the racing box, select Create Race, chose Race Type, click on Add Race. NFS PU will start automatically.
Select your profile > multiplayer > peer to peer - IP > create...
Note: If you are behind a router you must port forward 9442 UDP to your local IP of your PC you're hosting with. Also in DHCP menu, chose Lease Time - Forever (or Never Expire).
